Although you can't beat an ssh connection over the lan and the ease it provides administrating and using remote apps and servers/desktops, it never ceased to amaze me the ease by which Windows computers were accessible with next to none configuration over the net with wonderful programs/services like LogmeIn.

Although over a secure ssh connection there are few things that can't  be accomplished, I've always wished I could use logmein or some kind of similar service on my home desktop (linux OS).

So I started googling and yahooing for such a solution and suddenly there was my answer NTRAdmin from NTRglobal.

They have a very good free service, with a user-friendly administration panel for managing remote connections / groups / users. And what is even better apart from the obvious fact that it is free, is that it is applicable to MAC, LINUX, WINDOWS :)

...and now I can access my linux  desktop through whatever means (like a tablet) and no special software... just like if I were a complete noob! (and there are times I prefer being n00b!)

The administration panel ! easy stuff here! and tree like groups that keep things tidy.
